The Can Am X3 Switch Works Alpha 12 Mounting Kit provides you with the controller / brain mounting plates and all the necessary hardware for a straightforward and hassle-free installation.

The controller mount for the Switch Works Alpha 12 is strategically positioned above the center console, right where the Start/Stop is situated.  To insure a seamless installation, a relocation housing is provided for the Start/Stop button, which securely attaches between the steering column and the vehicle key.

However, if you opt to tie the ignition to the Alpha 12, there's no need for the relocation. All it takes is a straightforward connection: simply attach two wires from the factory button to one of the outputs on the Alpha 12 brain, and you're all set to roll!
